Week 9 NFL Picks
Thursday, November 2
Tennessee Titans at Pittsburgh Steelers -3
Tennessee found their quarterback of the future in Will Levis. The former Kentucky star should have no trouble torching a depleted Pittsburgh secondary. If the big boys upfront can block for Levis, he will have another good game throwing darts to DeAndre Hopkins.
NFL Week 9 Pick: Tennessee Titans +3

NFL Week 9 Games
Sunday, November 5
Miami Dolphins vs Kansas City Chiefs -1.5
Kansas City has the pieces to win another Super Bowl, but the Dolphins are getting better. For sure, the Fins were too much for New England in their NFL Week 8 game. Beating the Chiefs will be tougher. But Miami might have the slightly better defense now that Jalen Ramsey is healthy.
NFL Week 9 Pick: Miami Dolphins +1.5
Minnesota Vikings at Atlanta Falcons -3.5
After losing their first 3 games, the Vikings have since won 4-of-5. Ah, but that was with Kirk Cousins, one of the more underrated quarterbacks in the past decade, under center.
On Sunday, the Vikes must beat the Atlanta Falcons with recently traded for Joshua Dobbs. JD had some decent games in a Cardinals’ uni early in the season. Not just that, but the ATL is going with Taylor Heinecke, which is okay, but why make the change from Desmond Ridder? Taking the points is the play.
NFL Week 9 Pick: Minnesota Vikings +3.5
Los Angeles Rams at Green Bay Packers -3
Both teams are struggling. It’s difficult to lay 3 on the Pack, even if the game is at Lambeau, knowing Jordan Love must stay away from Aaron Donald if Green Bay is to move the football. On the other side, Sean McVay has to have drawn up plays to get the Rams’ rushing attack going versus a bad Green Bay run stop defense, right?
NFL Week 9 Pick: Los Angeles Rams +3
Chicago Bears at New Orleans Saints -8.5
New Orleans had their offensive breakout game in a 38-27 road win against the Colts. Derek Carr threw for 310 yards and a couple of TDs. Rashid Shaheed caught 3 passes for 153 yards and a TD.
Chris Olave, Michael Thomas, and Alvin Kamara caught at least 4 passes and Taysom Hill rushed for a couple of touchdowns. Kamara rushed for 1.
When the Bears have the ball, the Saints’ D will punish Justin Fields’s backup, Tyson Bagent. Saints roll in the best bet of NFL Week 9.
NFL Week 9 Pick: New Orleans Saints -8.5
Must be 21+ to participate. T&Cs apply. NY/NJ/CO/PA/MI/IA Residents Only.
Arizona Cardinals at Cleveland Browns -8.5
By trading Joshua Dobbs, the Cardinals have given up on the season. Maybe, it’s a good thing. All Dobbs was doing was teasing what could have been should the Cards had kept the 2021 band together.
Rookie Clayton Tune will start. Not cool because the kid’s first foray in the NFL will be against Myles Garrett and Browns D. Cleveland thumps AZ.
NFL Week 9 Pick: Cleveland Browns -8.5
Washington Commanders at New England Patriots -3
Forget anything you’ve read about the Commanders trading their two starting defensive ends, Chase Young and Montez Sweat, and still wanting to win this season.
Lies. Nothing but lies. No professional NFL team traded their starting ends expecting to win. D.C. is in rebuild mode, which means Ron Rivera, and many others in the U.S. Capitol have a foot out the door. Mac Jones leads the Pats to a rare win and cover.
NFL Week 9 Pick: New England Patriots -3
Must be 21+ to participate. T&Cs apply. NY/NJ/CO/PA/MI Residents Only.
Seattle Seahawks at Baltimore Ravens -5.5
This is one of those games that could go either way. The difference is at the quarterback position. One quarterback, Lamar Jackson, must do everything for his team.
The other QB, Geno Smith, can lean on a decent group of wide receivers and a good running back in Kenneth Walker III. The signal-caller with help is the one that prevails against the spread.
NFL Week 9 Pick: Seattle Seahawks
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Houston Texans -3
It makes sense why the Houston Texans are favorites. The game happens at NRG Stadium, C.J. Stroud is turning into a solid, one of the better, actually, quarterbacks in the NFL and the defense is playing well.
But the Texans lost to Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers in NFL Week 8. That had to have hit them mentally. Also, Baker Mayfield and the Bucs have had to deal strong teams in recent week. A game against a decent but not great team allows. The Baker Bucs to pull off the upset victory.
NFL Week 9 Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Must be 21+ to participate. T&Cs apply. NJ Residents Only.
Indianapolis Colts -2.5 at Carolina Panthers
The Panthers scored a nice victory over the Houston Texans in their last. We shouldn’t read too much into it. Heck, we shouldn’t read anything into it. Carolina isn’t close to Indianapolis’s level.
So although it’s nice that Bryce Young got a win as an NFL starter, we’re not biting. Colts cover.
NFL Week 9 Pick: Indianapolis Colts
New York Giants at Las Vegas Raiders -1.5
The Raiders got so sick and tired of the culture, they ditched head coach Josh McDaniels and their GM last week. Sometimes, change is bad, but in this case, the players appear fired up.
It’s also kind of cool that Antonio Pierce, who seems like an obvious players’ coach, is handing the reigns to Aidan O’Connell. O’Connell is 25-years-old and got married because he was still at Purdue. He has more life experience than many veterans in the league. Aidan leads the Raiders into the new era with a win and cover.
NFL Week 9 Pick: Las Vegas Raiders
Must be 21+ to participate. T&Cs apply. IL Residents Only.
Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles -3
It’s fun to dump on the Cowboys. But before writing off Big D, it’s important to note that Dallas did beat the Eagles in a game last season.
That doesn’t mean the Boys take down Jalen Hurts and the Eagles at Lincoln Financial on Sunday. It does mean the Cowboys could play well enough to keep the game closer than the spread. A Dallas cover would go a long way to silencing the critics.
NFL Week 9 Pick: Dallas Cowboys +3
Buffalo Bills at Cincinnati Bengals -1.5
Bills at Bengals will be a good game up to around the third quarter. That’s when scorching Joe Burrow leads Cincinnati to a pull away victory. Bengals to cover the -1.5 is as good of a bet as Saints -8.5over the Chicago Bears. So were’ giving the Cincinnati Bengals to cover over the Bills our best bet NFL Week 9 designation.
NFL Week 9 Pick: Cincinnati Bengals -1.5
Monday, November 6

Los Angeles Chargers -3.5 at New York Jets
The Bolts looked great dominating a Chicago Bears team that has nothing going for it outside of Justin Fields. Since Fields didn’t play, LAC rolled 30-13.
The Jets are a different team than Chicago. NYJ has top three defense. It will cause havoc in the backfield and push Justin Herbert into throwing the ball away or making bad passes, which the Jets will intercept.
On offense, J-E-T-S is okay. Bryce Hall is turning into one of the league’s better do everything runner backs. Zach Wilson is, for the most part, making the right decision. Jets win this straight up.
