NFL Thursday – December 21
New Orleans Saints at Los Angeles Rams -4.5
More than 70% are all over the Rams to beat the Saints. But the Rams had their struggles against a much worse team in NFL Week 15, the Washington Commanders. New Orleans is good enough to win this straight up. The Saintsdefense has played lights out and Derek Carr is hot.

Pittsburgh has fallen on hard times. The Steelers have lost 3 straight. The bleeding won’t end on Saturday because the Bengals have revved it up.
Cincinnati’s defense kept Minnesota from a key first down in overtime even though the Vikings had third and inches. The Bengals get it done with even if the line moves up to -3.5, which the action says is possible.

Buffalo Bills -11 at L.A. Chargers
After giving up 63 to the Raiders, the score was 42-0 before the Chargers even put a point on the board, the Spanos Family gave Brandon Staley his walking papers.
Without Staley, the Chargers should play with more heart, but it won’t matter. LAC is too dysfunctional to hanging with a hot Bills side that has beaten the Chiefs and the Cowboys in two straight.

Right before kickoff, the odds could flip, making the Colts the -1.5 or even -2 favorites. Atlanta doesn’t have much of an offense except for Bijan Robinson and they don’t feed BR enough.
The Colts are a solid playoff contender. Gardner Minshew is getting it done. So the pros will jump on Indy before kickoff.

The Packers, for sure, should win this game. However, Carolina comes off a stunning 9-7 victory over the rival Atlanta Falcons.
More importantly, the dream in Green Bay is dead. The Packers lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home, which is something few saw happening.
Green Bay’s issue is depth. The team is working through some injuries that has made the defense vulnerable and the offense is missing Christian Watson, Jordan Love’s top target.
If this game was happening a month ago, the Packers would be an easy pick. But in week 16 NFL, it’s a suitable time to go against Matt LaFleur and his bunch. Carolina money line is the play.

C.J. Stroud is doubtful to play. Although Case Keenum rallied the Texans to an overtime win versus the Tennessee Titans in the last, beating a Browns defense that boasts all-pros at every level is asking a lot.
Not only that, but Joe Flacco is tearing it up. Flacco threw for 374 yards in the Browns win over the Bears. Cleveland takes this SU and ATS.

Detroit Lions -3 at Minnesota Vikings
It’s tough to give the Vikings the nod against anybody right now. Minnesota had a chance to beat the Bengals on the road, but failed because they couldn’t get a few inches even though they had a couple of tries.
Detroit, though, comes into this off a fantastic blowout home victory over Sean Payton, Russell Wilson, and the Denver Broncos. The Lions tend to bounce after big wins. Beating Denver the way they did qualifies as a big win. Vikings straight up is the play.

The Jets are a mess, but the Commanders are worse. Washington is hoping for the top pick. So the Commanders won’t give too much of an effort in this.
However, Zach Wilson lists as questionable. If Wilson doesn’t play, Washington will have too much of an edge at QB with Sam Howell. Backing the Commanders to win this straight up makes sense.

Seattle Seahawks -2.5 at Tennessee Titans
Seattle looked good beating the Philadelphia Eagles at home as a +6 dog this past Monday night. But the win wasn’t as impressive as one might think.
The Eagles are on a 3-game slide. Philadelphia looks and plays like a tired bunch. They don’t have the same enthusiasm in games as they did earlier in the season.
Seattle will find thing more difficult on the road versus a Titans team that plays hard no matter the opponent. Tennessee should have a chance to win this one on the money line, but taking the points is the way to go.

Even if Trevor Lawrence plays, TL is going through the concussion protocol, backing the Jags is a bad move. Jacksonville has serious problems on the left side of their offensive line.
Both Ezra Cleveland and Walker Little list as questionable. Little and Cleveland are backups to Cam Robinson, who is on IR. The Jags los their fourth straight SU and ATS.
NFL Week 16 Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -1.5
Arizona Cardinals at Chicago Bears -4.5
The Bears are the better team overall. However, Kyler Murray is an x-factor. Also, Chicago doesn’t often blow out opponents and the Bears may not be fired up to win this game after the close loss to Tennessee on the road in week 15.
Arizona has some pieces to be a solid football team. So although the Bears should win this, the 1.5 points above 3 makes the road side the play.
NFL Week 16 Pick: Arizona Cardinals +4.5
Dallas Cowboys at Miami Dolphins -1.5
Dallas did nothing against the Buffalo Bills in a seriously disappointing game. The problem the Cowboys had was stopping James Cook, who rushed for 179 yards on 25 carries and scored a TD.
Miami is one of the best rushing teams in the NFL. The betting line suggests the Boys bounce back. The Fins are an overlay at only -1.5, though.
NFL Week 16 Pick: Miami Dolphins -1.5
New England Patriots at Denver Broncos -6.5
The Patriots are already thinking about 2024. Denver has a lot to play for because the 7-7 Broncos could win out and finish 10-7, which should lead to a playoff spot.
The Broncos got hit with an anvil in Detroit. Denver will bounce back in this versus a New England team that is playing for the top pick in the NFL Draft.

NFL Monday Night Football – December 25
Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs -10
The Raiders come off a massive 63 points outing versus the Chargers. No doubt, Vegas come close to that output against the Chiefs.
But Kansas City plays slow. Covering a 10-point spread could be difficult even though at no point in this game will anybody believe the Chiefs are in danger of losing.
NFL Week 16 Pick: Las Vegas Raiders +10
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles -11.5
The Eagles are in some trouble. Philadelphia blew a 10-0 lead against the Seattle Seahawks this past Monday night.
Philly isn’t playing with the same verve they showed earlier in the season. Teams have begun to figure out the Eagles defense and although Matt Patricia calling the plays appeared to help, the Eagles just aren’t the same team we witnessed in the first half.
The Giants ran into a brick wall in the New Orleans Saints. But NYG should have an easier time blocking Philadelphia’s pass rush than New Orleans,’ which sacked Tommy DeVito 7 times in last Sunday’s loss.
The Giants shouldn’t win this. Laying -11.5 on a reeling Eagles squad, though, is a bad move.
NFL Week 16 Pick: New York Giants +11.5
Baltimore Ravens at San Francisco 49ers -5.5
The Niners look like Super Bowl winners, but let’s be real. No team should be over 3 point favorites against the Baltimore Ravens.
Lamar Jackson should lift the NFL MVP this season. He’s done everything for his team and is the most unique player in the league. Jackson will ensure Baltimore keeps this closer than the spread. The Niners could pull out a win, but it won’t be by 6 points.
